A dental bridge is a fixed prosthetic device designed to “bridge” the gap created by one or more missing teeth. It consists of artificial teeth (pontics) anchored in place by crowns attached to the adjacent natural teeth or dental implants.

The process of receiving a dental bridge begins with a consultation and assessment, during which our prosthodontist will evaluate your oral health and recommend the best option for you. If a bridge is the right choice, the abutment teeth will be prepared by removing a small amount of enamel to accommodate crowns.

Impressions of your teeth will be taken to create a precise model for the bridge, and a temporary bridge will be placed to protect the prepared teeth while the permanent one is being fabricated. Once ready, the permanent bridge will be carefully fitted, adjusted for your comfort, and securely cemented in place.
